Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Obama's ground-breaking "More Perfect Union" speech:
This speech was anything but ground breaking, unless you consider attempting to justify your 30 year association with a hate filled racest spouting venom and racial discord. It even suggest that he can't disavow this trash talking coward any more than he can his white grandmother is the insult of all insults. This apparently because his grandmother was white, with some less than progressive views on race (imagine that in the 60's or 70's). At any rate, this "cover my ass" speech did nothing to change the facts. He has been intimatly associated with this hate monger for 30 years and has, obviously, shared his hate filled philosophy for all that time. No one, and I do mean no one would stay in a church where such poison and vile hatred is spewed on a weekly basis without subscribing to these same hatreds. In his rather weak attempt to "disavow" the reverands hatered, Obama attempts to justify it! This is just death to his candidacy in the South. In one fell swoop, he has given it away. I was leaning toward him prior to this fiasco. Now I will NEVER case my vote for such a thinly veiled racest who, if his pastor is to be believed, will not be satisfied until the country is destroyed in retobution for all it past sins......
What poppicock.

I'm 63, white and female. This is the most powerful and eloquent political speech in my lifetime. This man is a Statesman. He makes me proud of us, that in this time, we just might be ready to transcend the politics that have divided us for so long.
